What is a Reiki session like?

The session begins with attentive listening to the reasons why you are turning to an energy technique such as Reiki. However, this step is not a must if you do not want to share them. This is what makes this method special: the session will take place according to the real energy needs of your body without you needing to put words to your current situation.   You are then led to relax fully clothed on the treatment table to the sound of soft music and to relax for 40 minutes, to the rhythm of the different positions of the hands on the main energy points of your body.   The session ends by letting you slowly come to your senses. An exchange on the different perceptions felt during the treatment can be done if you wish to share them.   Reiki being based on the free circulation of energy without mental intervention during the session, no diagnosis will be made at the end of the treatment. Only a few recommendations for the next few days will be offered to you in order to best support the energy cleaning carried out.

What can be the effects  after a Reiki session?

Each of you has a unique and singular journey, which is why the effects of a session vary from person to person depending on what has been released from your energy field during care.   Here are some examples of feedback from my clients:   - An instant feeling of relaxation - Clarity of mind and perspective on everyday life - Improved sleep quality - A decrease in stress, anxiety and feelings of vulnerability - A decrease in certain physical ailments  - The completion of certain tasks that have been procrastinated for months - A need to sort out the house and its priorities   Energy work will sometimes lead you to feel a kind of "energy detox" during the few days following the session. It can manifest itself by an accentuation of physical ailments, by heightened emotions or even by stronger dreams. It can be stirring but this detox is part of the energy release process and brings an improvement in your general well-being after 2 to 3 days. It is simply a matter of giving your body some time to recalibrate its energy. However, this period is not always a must, with some people finding themselves in great shape directly after their session.

What do you feel during a Reiki session?

The physical feelings during a Reiki session can be varied: you may feel a sensation of heat, tingling, movement or heaviness.   Your body unwinds and relaxes to the rhythm of the energy work. Sometimes certain emotions can be released, taking with them a blockage or an old event.  The session can also bring you into a calm and serene space of mind, giving you the opportunity to resolve certain everyday situations or even to bring you new ideas and projects.

How many sessions are needed?

The Reiki technique is to be considered as a support tool in your journey towards your well-being. You have a whole life behind you, filled with many emotions and painful events. The idea is not to believe that everything will be resolved in a single session. Energy work can make real profound changes if you allow your body time to assimilate the changes.   Reiki acts on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels: it is therefore a truly holistic technique. It allows a real reconnection to who you really are, to your real needs and to what you want to create in your life. Energy cleansing will allow you to free yourself from all those old "stones" that obstruct your energy flow and finally live your full potential.

Is Reiki compatible with another therapy?

Reiki sessions can be an excellent complement to any other therapy (psychology, nutritherapy, kinesiology, etc.) because they act on the energetic and emotional levels which are an essential part of your well-being.   Reiki remains a method of energy rebalancing and therefore does not make it possible to make a diagnosis. It is therefore advisable to continue any medical treatment in progress and to consult a doctor for any medical advice.   There are no contraindications to a Reiki session: the person must simply come of their own free will and be open to the changes that the session may bring.

Does Reiki help calm stress and anxieties?

We live in a period during which you are surrounded by a lot of negative energies and this greatly impacts your personal energy. Stress puts your nervous system on constant alert with all the symptoms it can cause in your body.   Reiki can soothe your emotional state by freeing the body from unconscious mechanisms. It helps to manage a stressful situation [depression, burn-out, separation, social phobia, excessive behavior] by bringing you clarity of mind.   Reiki sessions will also allow you to work on your anchoring and calm your mind, often at the heart of this feeling of vulnerability that creates anxiety.

Can we receive too much energy?

Your body, incredibly well shaped, will receive the energy it is able to process at the time of the session, leaving you with a degree of cleansing and energy that you will be able to fully absorb.   The cleaning work will be done at your own pace according to your energy availability: each person having had a different journey, the energy deployed will be closer to the needs of each of you.   The channeling of energy is an incredible tool and will accompany your desire for evolution according to your story. Your life having most likely been rich in events and emotions, the cleaning work will be done at your own pace according to your availability of mind.  ​
